TMR Frugal Living Tip #38

Today's thrifty tip is to use fruits or items from outside to decorate your house. Colorful apples or oranges look great displayed in a bowl. You can eat them or cook with them before they start spoiling. You could make a very colorful wreath using leaves, pine cones, or other items. Display pine cones in a bowl for a more earthy look. There are lots of ways to decorate for fall without breaking your budget.

I love your blog! One cool thing that we do to celebrate the holiday season that is very easy and costs little is to make scented pine cones.
We dip the pine cones in melted scented paraffin and add some glitter. You can even paint these if you like! They smell great and are a great centerpiece.
BTW I have an award for you!Come on over to Ms Frugal McDougal and get it!

I use fall leaves and winter greenery every year. EXCEPT, this year. The fall leaves have been less than spectacular.

Candy corn is inexpensive and can be used as a decoration--just fill a glass vase with them and presto! Instant Halloween decor!

These are great ideas. I always decorate with pinecones every year. I just fill up vases and any clear container.
